Visio trick: Align shapes automatically
Software July 2nd, 2009While putting together a Visio diagram, I have always felt a need to align my blocks/shapes in a straight line either horizontally or vertically. I was doing it manually and it was quite tedious. Then I discovered this neat little trick to auto align the shapes in the diagram. All you need to do is select the shapes that need to align, then go to the menu Shape -> Align Shapes. A pop up will appear and it will let you select between horizontal and vertical alignment.

Hi Davang,
You might also try playing with the dynamic grid. Go to: Tools > Snap & Glue and check “Dynamic Grid”.
Now, *while* you draw shapes, Visio will create temporary guide lines that help you to align and equally space your shapes!
