Anyone who uses remote desktop connection on a regular basis knows how frustrating it is when all of a sudden copy/paste to and from your local computer and remote computer stops working.

The solution is quite easy. Just go to task manager on your remote machine and kill the process rdpclip.exe (this process may not be running).

Then run rdpclip.exe from Start -> Run.

When you try to do Ctrl-Alt-Del in a remote desktop session, you will find that it will instead be performed on your computer instead of the remote computer. The key combination for the same action to be performed on a remote computer is Ctrl-Alt-End from within your remote desktop session.
