In Germany, researchers showed their Gryphon personal strap-on jet wing. This personal aircraft lets the pilot fly at about 135MPH. The Gryphon has oxygen and helmet that features a heads-up display. The wing is about six-foot and rudder is controlled by hand-held rotary controls.

On Slashdot I read that the Airbus 380 superjumbo jet has a personal linux PC in every passenger seat. It runs the in-flight entertainment as well as StarOffice. That’s cool!
